With more than 75 years in active practice, we have navigated thousands of different health challenges with our patients. It never ceases to amaze us: the body always remembers how to function fully and properly. Your body has an amazing ability to move to a better place of health and function when given a chance, when blocks to proper control and function are reduced or cleared.
This isn’t to say that all long term dysfunction and degeneration is reversible. But we have seen again and again that when you improve function, motion, and nerve flow in a problem area and compensating areas, the body will be able to adapt or compensate better for the things that can’t change. When this happens, the body can do a better job of helping you do life as you’d like to do it, with less pain and dysfunction. Sometimes, a patient will require some ongoing care and support – we call this wellness or maintenance care – to maintain the improvements made under active care so that they can continue to enjoy a more active and easeful lifestyle.
If you are feeling stuck with a challenge that’s keeping you from living your life as you’d like to, and you have tried “everything”, please know that change can be possible. A consultation and exam in our office will allow us to see how much change is possible for you. We offer education and support along your healing journey. It may take some time and commitment, but it often astonishes us to see just how much change is possible for our patients suffering with longstanding health challenges.
The low force nature of Torque Release adjustments allows us to work with people of all ages, mobility and all health levels. If you’re wondering if we might be a good fit for you, please send us an email and we’d be happy to answer any questions you may have. Read less
Pregnancy and birth need our respect. They are not disease conditions that need to be managed. Dr. Misty works closely with all members of the family during this precious and transformative time as they prepare to welcome a new baby (or babies). She also works with doulas and midwives as needed to support parents in making health care decisions for their pregnancy, labour, delivery and postpartum period.Read more
Pregnancy asks a great deal from a mother’s body. The body works overtime during pregnancy to nourish a rapidly growing baby and help a mother’s body adapt to the physical changes that take place in the months leading up to delivery. Adjustments before, during and after pregnancy can help your body to adapt to the many changes that happen as your baby grows in utero so that you can ideally feel your best and stay active during this life-changing time.
Dr. Misty focuses on optimizing pelvic alignment at all stages of pregnancy to help you and your baby flow well together in daily life. Nothing makes Dr. Misty happier than seeing a mama approach her due date feeling well and able to do all the activities that empower her health and well-being.
Postpartum chiropractic care is also a key support in the 4th trimester during the early weeks after birth when a mama’s body is recovering from birth and caring for a newborn. And as mom returns to a more active life and usual activities, chiropractic care helps to address alignment and imbalance challenges that arise.Read less
